The Detroit Stars was an American baseball team that played in the Negro National league. The team was founded by Tenny Blount and Rube Foster, the owner of the Chicago American Giants, in 1919. The team played at Mack Park and in 1920, it became a charter member of the Negro National League. This original team played from 1919 to 1931.
